Aerostatic Rotary Tables – TG Series

INTENDED USE AND APPLICATIONS

The TG aerostatic rotary tables series are characterized by high precision rotation. They are suitable for precision applications, as in the following cases:

- metrology of lengths and forces
- positioning of the operating machines (e.g. laser, micro-machining)
- electronic and semi-conductors field

MAIN FEATURES

They have air bearings both in axial and in radial direction, with a fairly wide ranging load and stiffness capacity.

According to the sizes, the radial and axial run-out can range from a few tens of nanometres to some micrometers.

The standard series, functioning as a simple guide, is available in 4 sizes with upper support bearing diameters ranging from 125 to 500mm, and axial loads capacity ranging from 25 to 2,700 daN operating lift force.
The TG series aerostatic rotary tables have been designed to work with rotary axis set in vertical direction. Different positions must be evaluated case by case.

The tables can be set up with motorisation/drive and rotary encoder. The motorised direct drive systems (or torque motor) enable greater performance in terms of dynamics and precision in angular positioning.
Other versions can be configured with a through hole (to pass cables and equipment) or with a levelling and centring table (as in case of tables for roundness testers).
